The General Post Office (GPO; Irish: Ard-Oifig an Phoist) in Dublin is the headquarters of the Irish Post Office, An Post, and Dublin's principal post office. The GPO is has a strong association with the 1916 Rising and the events that led to the creation of an independent Irish state, making it a remarkable part of Ireland’s culture.

The General Post Office in Dublin was designed by Francis Johnston, an architect with the Board of Works, in the Greek Revival Style. The beautiful building can be visited for free. Visitors can also visit the awardwinnign GPO Museum
