Who’s up for a belly full of laughs!?

Vodafone Comedy Festival 2014

Time to get giddy in the park this summer! The long awaited Vodafone Comedy festival gets underway at the Iveagh Gardens from the 24th – 27th of June.

Our guests attending this event are in for a treat. The Iveagh gardens is the perfect location to chill out, meet with friends, and laugh your head off until your heart’s content. We have to say, The Iveagh gardens is a totally underestimated unique venue. It’s large enough to get the buzz of atmosphere but intimate enough to really get in with all the action. This hidden sanctuary is just located just off Harcourt Street and just a few steps from The Camden Court Hotel, you are centrally located to keep the night going well after the performances finish.

This year The Iveagh gardens will host 85 comedians whom will perform in four fully seated, indoor theatres. Some of the stellar acts include Dara O Briain, Russell Howard, Jason Byrne & Jason. Set to host the largest contingent of international talent ever including the biggest number of American acts including Chappelle’s Show co-creator Neal Brennan, best-selling author & Chelsea Lately panellist Jen Kirkman, the inimitable Pajama Men who’ve won awards all over the world.

According to Festival Director Bren Berry, “The reputation of the Vodafone Comedy Festival has travelled around the world largely due to the word-of-mouth enthusiasm of the international comics who love performing here. Also, humour is ingrained in our national personality and I feel comedy is as essential to our culture as music or literature. With this event we can celebrate everyone from the latest generation of exciting newcomers to the established acts who have placed Irish comedy on the world map.”

It’s a unique place for our guests to hang out, watch some great comedy, and enjoy food and drinks with friends while checking out the colourful array of side-shows, street performers and live music.
