St. Patrick's Festival Parade 2016

The St. Patrick's Day Parade is not to be missed if you have kids in the family. Colourful, fun, and entertaining; this celebratory parade is bound to keep the little ones entertained and happy for the day! The parade begins on Parnell Square at 12:00pm on March 17th. The St. Patrick’s Festival has created a theme named 'Imagine If', The spectacular procession will wind its way through the heart of Dublin city, bursting with colour and theatrics.

The Route:
O'Connell Bridge - Westmoreland Street - Dame Street - Lord Edward Street - Patrick Street - St. Patrick's Cathedral. For further information on the St. Patrick's Festival Parade

See this spectacular sight as Dublin's most iconic building go green over this St. Patrick's Festival! This takes place at 6:00pm on all evenings of the St. Patrick's Festival (from March 17th). Last year saw several famous Dublin buildings lighting up in green, including: Trinity College Dublin (image above), the GPO, Christ Church, Custom House, Rotunda, the Four Courts, The National Concert Hall (just a few minutes’ walk from us here at the Camden Court Hotel), and many many more. This year is set to be even better. Again, this is certainly something that the entire family will enjoy, and at no cost!

In the Footsteps of St. Patrick: Walking Tour

  • Dates: Thurs 17th March, Fri 18th March, Sat 19th March and Sun 20th March
    Times: 11.00am & 2.15pm (Thursday 17th 2.15pm only)

    Departure point: Outside Discover Ireland Center (converted church), Suffolk Street (parallel to Grafton Street) beside Molly Malone statue.
    Finish point: St. Patrick’s Cathedral.
    Tour duration: Approximately 2 hours
    Prices:  €14 (€12 senior/students) per person. The price includes the entrance to St Patrick’s Cathedral.

    Please turn up at least 10 mins in advance.
    Under 16 with adult free on walk but €4 into Cathedral.

Running for its fifth year - the Irish Craft Beer and Whiskey Village is a true celebration of beer, cider, whiskey, artisan food and entertainment! This festival is totally indoors so you don’t need to worry about the weather as you browse the stalls, enjoy a masterclass or two and soak up the festive atmosphere and live music.
